Job Description

As a Mobile Support Equipment Operator with the Canadian Army Reserve, you will play a critical role in supporting military operations and field activities. Your primary responsibilities will include operating a range of mobile support equipment, such as buses, automobiles, trucks, and all-terrain vehicles, to transport personnel and equipment. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment in serviceable condition, preparing dispatch schedules, and coordinating user requirements for vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate mobile support equipment, including buses, automobiles, trucks, and all-terrain vehicles
  • Maintain equipment in serviceable condition through cleaning, inspecting, and correcting minor faults
  • Prepare dispatch schedules and coordinate user requirements for vehicles and equipment
  • Provide transportation support for combat and field operations
  • Perform other duties as required to support military operations
Work Environment:

As a Mobile Support Equipment Operator, you will work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings. You may be required to work in bases, field operations, and other locations, both within and outside of Canada. You will be expected to adapt to changing environments and work conditions, and to maintain a high level of physical fitness.

Training and Development:

As a member of the Canadian Army Reserve, you will have access to a range of training and development opportunities. You will be required to complete the Basic Military Qualification course, as well as specialized training in mobile support equipment operation. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through on-the-job training and professional development programs.
