About the Role: As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of plant workers, coordinating daily production schedules, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Oversee and manage a team of plant workers in their daily work, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Production Scheduling: Manage the daily production schedule, ensuring that production targets are met and deadlines are achieved.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with legal regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain necessary administrative records, review and approve production reports, and analyze and control costs.
- Process Improvement: Test plant processes and ensure efficiency and safety, providing first-hand knowledge of production procedures.
- Training and Development: Ensure that staff receive appropriate training and accreditation, and optimize the use of machinery and equipment.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role in a chemical plant, preferably as a plant manager.
- Education: Post-secondary education in chemistry or a related field.
- Skills: Strong computer literacy, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to articulate a clear vision for the team.
