Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver top-tier Building Science Restoration services, encompassing evaluation, design, tendering, and oversight for various building envelope components, including walls, windows, roofing, waterproofing, and concrete structures.
  • Conduct site assessments to analyze the performance of existing building envelope systems and propose repair solutions.
  • Oversee construction projects to ensure that technical repair strategies are executed in alignment with project specifications. Collaborate effectively with clients and contractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Mentor junior staff and ensure accurate data collection to effectively communicate project status and technical details to senior project leaders.
  • Draft client proposals, investigative reports, and construction documents for building envelope assessments and restoration initiatives. Ensure that preliminary documents meet the standards expected by senior technical staff prior to review.
  • Manage and assist in the preparation of condominium Reserve Fund Studies, enabling property owners to plan for the maintenance and renewal of significant building systems.
  • Understand and manage client expectations, directing WSP's performance to meet or exceed those expectations.
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities within the project team, ensuring that all expectations are clearly communicated. Manage project resources and establish schedules to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and collaborate with senior technical experts nationwide to guarantee high-quality deliverables and superior service.
  • Oversee project budgets by clearly communicating financial expectations; monitor and manage budgets, multipliers, and schedules to meet established targets. Financial management includes processing purchase orders and invoices and managing accounts receivable within set parameters.
  • Maintain a steady project workload and contribute to business development efforts to achieve annual revenue goals.
  • Lead client and stakeholder meetings to gather feedback, discuss revisions, and strengthen trust relationships.
Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in technical evaluation, design, and construction oversight of building envelope restoration projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Building Science, Architectural Science, or a related field.
  • P.Eng. designation is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, particularly building envelope controls (air, water, vapor, heat) and in-depth knowledge of building materials and construction processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
  • Proven track record in managing building envelope restoration projects with strong organizational and team leadership abilities.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working with other motivated individuals.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Possession of a valid G-class driver's license is required.
  • Successful applicants will need to obtain security clearance with PSPC.
