Job Summary:
Mon Sheong Foundation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at the Richmond Hill Long Term Care Centre. As a key member of our support services team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a comfortable, safe, and aesthetic environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain building systems, including life safety systems, HVAC systems, and emergency backup power generators.
- Perform routine inspections and respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Direct traffic in the parking lot during special events and maintain the maintenance workshop in good condition.
- Monitor and report inventory requirements and perform preventative maintenance duties as scheduled.
- Provide equipment access to contractors and perform other duties as assigned by the Building Services Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Minimum three years' experience in general maintenance and building operations, preferably in a long-term care or healthcare facility.
- Knowledgeable and experienced with commercial building operations, including electrical distribution systems, HVAC systems, and life safety systems.
- Relevant training leading to a Building Environmental System Operator Class I certificate or equivalent is an asset.
