About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Lake Country Co-op. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our members and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and patrol premises regularly, including entrances and parking areas, to prevent and detect security breaches.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including shoplifting and other forms of internal and external loss.
- Collaborate with the Grocery Team Leader and Asset Protection to address security concerns and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to member inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform cart service, general cleaning, and site maintenance to ensure a positive shopping experience for our members.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent education.
- Previous experience as a security guard and customer service representative would be an asset.
- Good understanding of legal guidelines for security and public safety.
- Honest and trustworthy, with a strong sense of integrity and a commitment to upholding our company values.
- Results-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and members.
