About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our team at Badger Daylighting LP. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will play a critical role in our excavation services, utilizing high-pressure water and vacuum systems to safely and efficiently uncover utilities and contribute to various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate hydrovac equipment in a variety of working environments, including confined spaces.
  • Drive our hydrovac trucks (approximately 10-15% of total work time).
  • Attend safety meetings and participate in ongoing training to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform routine inspections and minor repairs of the hydrovac equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Prepare work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing potential hazards.
  • Document and report all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Valid 1, 3, or DZ license (A-D license in Ontario) with airbrake endorsement.
  • CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection, and OSHA 10 certification preferred.
  • Preferred experience driving a manual transmission vehicle without automatic restrictions.
  • Ability to work variable shifts with extended hours.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull 50+ pounds and have the physical stamina for manual labor in varying weather conditions.
  • Prior hydrovac equipment operation or related industrial experience preferred.
