About the Role

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Ruby Automation Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through test automation and manual testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test Automation: Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts using Ruby and relevant automation tools.
  • Manual Testing: Execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software quality.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with offshore teams for efficient testing execution and delivery.
  • Agile Ceremonies: Participate in agile ceremonies to integrate quality throughout the development process.
  • Stakeholder Updates: Provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress and issues.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in test automation with at least 1+ years of experience in Ruby.
  • Skills: Must have experience automating testing processes using Ruby testing frameworks, working in agile teams using BDD, Cucumber, Gitlab, and Jenkins, and be well-versed in DevOps and CI/CD implementation.
  • Domain Knowledge: Insurance domain experience is an added advantage.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Work Arrangements: This is a remote position open to qualified applicants in Ontario and/or Nova Scotia.
