About the Role

This role will play a key part in ensuring that students with disabilities feel welcome and supported at the Centre for Accessible Learning Exam Centres. The Specialist, Accessible Exam Services will be responsible for researching, creating and delivering student-focused accommodated exam services, ensuring that each student's unique needs are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for detail, organization and service, and be able to communicate effectively with vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and develop student-focused accommodated exam services
  • Ensure that students with disabilities feel welcome and supported at the Exam Centres
  • Collaborate with Disability Access Advisors and Exam Assistants to create an inclusive environment
  • Take an active role in supporting the Manager, Accessible Exam Services, with recruiting, training and supervision of Exam Assistant Invigilators
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, Social Work, or a related discipline
  • Two years of experience in student-facing work in a post-secondary setting, including working with students with disabilities
  • Excellent attention to detail, judgement, tact and organizational skills
  • Excellent knowledge of vulnerable, diverse populations including neurodiverse individuals
