Casual / On-Call Administrative Support

School District 8 - Kootenay Lake is seeking a qualified candidate to work on an as-needed basis as a Casual / On-Call Administrative Support. This role will involve working in various Family of Schools within the District, including Creston, Crawford Bay, Nelson, Salmo, Kaslo, and Slocan Valley.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to various Family of Schools within the District.
  • Operate a variety of office equipment and computer systems with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and communication applications.
  • Exercise initiative, independent judgment, and discretion in performing duties.
  • Work as part of a team and maintain professional working relationships with all school personnel, students, parents, and the public.
  • Manage time effectively with excellent organizational skills and maintain confidentiality.
  • Follow School District policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Adapt to frequent technological change and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is indoors in clean, well-lighted, and heated buildings.
  • May face a variety of situations requiring decision making and action in accordance with protocols prescribed by the Principal or Site Supervisor.
