Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Welded Tube of Canada Corp. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing our Health and Safety program across our Welland and Lackawanna facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Health and Safety program that meets regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and develop plans to prevent similar occurrences.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on Health and Safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Monitor and report on Health and Safety metrics and performance indicators.
  • Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety regulations and legislation.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in Health and Safety, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Relevant post-secondary education and/or certification in Health and Safety.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, legislation, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
