ROLE OVERVIEW
Based in our Toronto facility, the Process Improvement Analyst operates within a standard work schedule, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager. This role is pivotal in driving various process control initiatives, optimizing production workflows, and managing quality and performance metrics. The Analyst collaborates with supervisors, implements continuous improvement standards, and ensures effective process control through calibration and optimization efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enhance continuous improvement processes within the Coating department.
- Act as a liaison between Global Engineering and the Coating production team to address process control and calibration needs.
- Monitor and implement changes as required for process standardization.
- Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for process control in the Coating department.
- Support supervisors in launching new products and managing production workflows.
- Analyze production rejects and devise strategies for improvement.
- Track production key performance indicators (KPIs) and propose solutions for process enhancement.
- Ensure all machine parameters are documented and compliant with standards.
- Coordinate training programs for team members, including the development of SOPs and best practices.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and EHS departments to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Oversee the proper disposal of chemicals and maintain updated MSDS sheets.
- Promote a safe and organized work environment while addressing maintenance issues proactively.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in teams, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, standardization, and calibration techniques.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
