We are seeking a highly skilled Computer-Aided Design/Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Deslaurier Custom Cabinets. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing production, designing plant layouts and production facilities, and developing computer applications for machines and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Production Oversight: Ensure efficient and effective production processes, overseeing the setup and operation of machinery and equipment.
- Design and Development: Design and develop computer applications for machines and processes, as well as create plant layouts and production facilities.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data and samples to inform production decisions and improve efficiency.
- Estimation and Reporting: Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports to support production planning and decision-making.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest CAD/CAM software and technologies, including Mastercam, programming software, and computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD/CAM software and programming languages. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
