Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage machine shop personnel in their daily tasks.
- Monitor all machining projects to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Assist in scheduling to guarantee timely delivery of products to clients.
- Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure the availability of necessary components.
- Act as the primary technical representative for the machining department, liaising with clients and stakeholders.
- Oversee the management of shop supplies and consumables.
- Propose new machinery or processes to enhance productivity.
- Recruit and onboard new machine shop staff.
- Conduct performance assessments and manage disciplinary actions when required.
Required: Machinist Certificate of Qualification.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years in a machining environment or engineering sector, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Skills: Strong understanding of machinery, material tolerances, and production processes. Excellent time management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills. Proficient in people management and production planning. Familiarity with relevant software tools.
