LOCATION
NHH is located approximately 100 kilometers east of Toronto and serves a diverse community by providing a wide range of acute, post-acute, outpatient, and diagnostic services. We cater to a growing population of over 60,000 residents across urban and rural areas, employing around 750 staff and benefiting from a dedicated network of physicians, midwives, and volunteers.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and accountable to the Chief Radiologist, the Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) will be tasked with conducting radiographic examinations, which may encompass routine general radiographic procedures, interventional procedures, and mobile X-ray operations. The Technologist is expected to exercise independent judgment while executing these responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be required to work shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be registered with the College of Medical Radiation Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Recent relevant experience in a hospital environment is essential
- Prior experience with EPIC is preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Professional and appropriate response in high-stress and emergency situations
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidates must provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check completed within the last year from the date of hire. This requirement must be fulfilled within the first sixty (60) days of employment.
Additionally, successful candidates are required to complete the Health Care Worker Health review process, which includes submitting an up-to-date immunization record to comply with the Ontario Hospital Association Communicable Diseases Surveillance Protocols within the first thirty (30) days of employment. NHH enforces a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all staff.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, NHH may opt to conduct parts or all of the hiring process virtually. While the role is expected to be in-person, a hybrid working arrangement may be considered based on operational needs.
