Job Summary

The Data Entry Specialist will work under general supervision, entering alphanumeric data from various sources into our computer database. This is a contractual position for a period of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry and Scanning
    • Prepare, index, and scan hard copy records according to client requests.
  • Data Accuracy and Completeness
    • Verify data from completed forms and client documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Meet Job-Specific Standards
    • Complete assigned data entry requests/tasks within required timeframes while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Document Review and Protocols
    • Review assigned documents and adhere to protocols during data entry.
  • Meet Production Rates
    • Meet job-specific standards and production rates for data entry requirements.
  • Direction and Assistance
    • Provide direction or assistance to users of information regarding data requirements and status of paperwork.
  • Document Management
    • Sort and file paperwork as needed.

Requirements

  • Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of business experience required.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
    • Highly organized.
    • Knowledge of data entry and scanning software programs a plus.
    • Ability to complete paperwork accurately and completely understand the importance of detail.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to prioritize and organize work flow and procedures.
    • The physical ability to lift boxes and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
