Job Title: Cook - Permanent Part-time

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Waters Edge Community. As a Cook, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality food services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals and snacks according to production sheets, recipes, and menu documents.
  • Monitor food quality and advise team leaders on any issues or concerns.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 minimum education required.
  • A valid Safe Food Handling Certificate and/or Smart Serve certificate.
  • Experience with cooking in institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality settings.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude necessary to meet the goals and standards of the residence.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check (Ontario) or Criminal Records Check (British Columbia).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a recognized college food preparation program and willing to Red Seal certify.
