About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and certified Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at WELL Health Diagnostic Centres. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations on various types of equipment, including MSK, ABDOMEN, PELVIC, BREAST, and THYROID.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient identification, safety, and preparation are correct prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Greet patients, explain forthcoming tests, position patients, and prepare them for examination.
  • Observe patients during the diagnostic procedure, noting any symptoms or changes in vital signs and summoning medical aid when necessary.
  • Perform all quality control assessments as required, taking precautions and working in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
  • Complete proper equipment maintenance in accordance with department standards.
  • Ensure equipment and instruments are performing efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare and organize reports as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • CMRTO certification is required.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • Vascular, MSK & OB experience is an asset.
  • Ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures on various types of ultrasound equipment.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
  • Effective decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
