We are seeking a skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters in Oshawa, ON. As a key member of our optical team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert advice on eyewear and vision care.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome and serve customers with a smile, setting expectations and ensuring a positive experience
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, demonstrating attention to detail and quality
- Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing guidance and support to colleagues
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear, ensuring finished products meet standards and customer needs
- Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, showcasing problem-solving skills
- Utilize technology efficiently, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail despite time pressure and customer volume
- Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customer satisfaction and expectations are exceeded
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively with competing priorities
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store appearance, adhering to company standards
- Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices
- Resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continual learning, improvement, and results
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management
- High School graduate or equivalent
- State Licensure
- Optical dispensing experience
- Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork
- Knowledge of current store merchandise
- Strong basic math skills
- Awareness of current fashion trends
- Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
- Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
- Embracing new technology and change
- Previous customer service and retail experience
