Operating Room Nurse

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Rooms at Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver, BC.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in the Operating Rooms. As a member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for delivering nursing services in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing services in the Operating Rooms, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operating room workflow.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments and monitor patients' conditions during surgery and recovery.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding and coordination of care.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of a recognized advanced nursing specialty program in operating room nursing, or two years' recent, related experience in an acute care operating room environment.
- Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a patient/family-centered model of care.
- Comprehensive knowledge of perioperative nursing techniques, standards, instrumentation, supply, and equipment requirements for a wide variety of surgical procedures.
