Position Overview
The SRE team collaborates closely with developers and business partners to design scalable, efficient, observable, and highly-reliable platforms.
Our SRE initiative emphasizes accelerating R&D speed and safety through the development and stewardship of software tools, infrastructure, CI/CD, and platform systems. SRE developers tackle challenges utilizing their robust programming expertise and familiarity with cloud-native technologies, while effectively communicating these solutions.
Your Contributions
As a Developer on the SRE Team, Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Collaborating on project tasks within a team of 3-5 colleagues
- Promoting best practices for production readiness and scaling them across R&D
- Innovating and enhancing software development tools and pipelines
- Building, securing, and managing multi-tenant cloud resources
- Participating in an on-call rotation to address critical incidents
- Understanding of highly scalable, data-intensive, distributed internet applications and their monitoring
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A commitment to ensuring the success of our customers (developers)
- Experience in application debugging, performance profiling, and optimization
- Proficiency in modern programming languages, with a willingness to quickly learn our technology stack
- Cloud-Native Computing with Google Cloud Platform, including:
- Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Global Load Balancers, and Cloud Build
- Participation in GCP's Early Access Program for access to innovative technologies
- Terraform Cloud (HCL)
- Temporal Workflows
- Elasticsearch
- Golang, Python, Angular, Ruby & Rails
- Datadog
- GitOps methodologies combined with Helm & Kustomize
