About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Process Optimization Specialist to join our team at Tolko Industries. As a key member of our Athabasca OSB Division, you will play a critical role in driving process improvements and optimizing production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
  • Monitor and analyze process variability to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement statistical process control methods to optimize production processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and product development.
  • Establish and maintain quality control programs to ensure compliance with product standards.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Science, or Wood Sciences, or relevant technical experience.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes in OSB.
  • Proven experience in industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience with process optimization, data analysis, and trial evaluation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to improvement.
  • Ability to cooperate with all levels of the organization.
  • Values-driven leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
