Job Summary:
LAPRAIRIE is seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs for light vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose issues with light vehicles.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of light vehicles, including installation of new and added-on equipment.
- Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues to ensure optimal inventory management.
- Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders and timecards to maintain accurate records.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and other maintenance work.
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and repair techniques to provide expert-level service.
- Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations.
- Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Perform other mechanical repair work as required to support the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Licensed Journeyman Automotive Mechanic.
- Red Seal Certification preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic.
- Experience working with commercial equipment, machinery, and vehicles.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with routine maintenance operations.
- Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
- Effective communication skills - verbal and written.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Computer literate.
