As a Hydroelectric Project Superintendent, you will be instrumental in the planning and oversight of construction, maintenance, and renovation activities at a hydroelectric power facility. You will lead diverse teams, emphasizing efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality benchmarks in hydroelectric energy initiatives.

  • Assess labor needs
  • Work in conjunction with project managers to plan operations
  • Conduct weekly logistical evaluations and prepare requisitions
  • Supervise on-site execution to maintain safety, quality, and performance standards
  • Effectively allocate human and material resources for optimal operational efficiency
  • Enforce safety protocols in line with industry regulations

Additional Job Requirements:

Educational Background: DEC in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

Experience: 7+ years

  • Extensive experience in managing construction projects within hydroelectric facilities
  • Thorough understanding of safety, health, and construction regulations, particularly in the context of Hydro-Québec
  • Exceptional planning, leadership, and communication abilities
  • Proven ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong analytical, adaptive, and priority management capabilities
  • Experience with central works code and supervisory training (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license, proficiency in digital tools, and safety training certifications
