Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Helper to join our team at New Punjabi Flavours. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our dining area.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
  • Load buspans and trays.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Scour pots and pans.
  • Package take-out food.
  • Portion and wrap foods.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Take customers' orders.
  • Handle and store cleaning products.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Work Environment

Our restaurant is located in an urban area, and public transportation is available. We offer a permanent position with 35 to 40 hours of work per week.

Language

The primary language spoken in the workplace is English.
