About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious driver to join our team at First Student Shared Services. As a School Bus Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and school staff.
- Develop and maintain a positive and professional relationship with students, parents, and school staff.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance driving skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license for at least 1 year.
- At least 21 years old.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Pass a Ministry prescribed medical examination and background checks.
What We Offer
- A competitive starting wage of $20.98 per hour.
- No experience necessary - we provide training.
- Additional hours available - charter route opportunities.
- Child ride-along program.
- No nights or weekends.
