Plant Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to lead our Brantford, Ontario, Canada plant, a private label manufacturer of frozen griddle products. The successful candidate will take complete ownership and accountability for overall plant operations, with a focus on achieving safety, quality, and production objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a safety culture and ensure adherence to all health and safety policies/protocols.
- Develop, execute, and monitor the operations strategy in line with the overall operational objectives to achieve safety, quality, and performance improvement.
- Lead the continuous improvement program to deliver opportunities in cost, quality, food safety, and service.
- Coach, engage, and train employees in utilizing Lean principles and building a culture of recognition.
- Utilize available data to continuously improve productivity, uptime, and reliability.
- Coordinate manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Assist in the development of operational and capital budgets, policies, and procedures, and the execution of same.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, processing, or packaging industry required; food industry experience in refrigerated dough highly preferred.
- Experience leading a bargained workforce.
- Lean/Continuous Improvement experience strongly desired.
- Results-driven with a strong desire to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated track record exceeding targets goals.
