Health Care Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at Southern Health-Santé Sud. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents and patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents and patients with their daily living needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide personal care and support, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
- Assist with medication administration and monitoring
- Participate in care planning and implementation, ensuring resident-centered care
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute Care)
- 1-2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably with elderly or disabled clients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
