Air Inuit is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented GSE Purchaser to join our team at the Air Inuit Technical Center in Montreal-Trudeau airport. As a GSE Purchaser, you will be responsible for maintaining the required inventory in Montreal and Nunavik, including the preparation and dispatch of work orders to the vehicle technicians.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Store items in tool rooms or supply areas, unload parts and stock shelves, process incoming requisitions, and maintain records on inventory control systems.
- Procurement: Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies, issue and distribute parts and supplies for internal use, receive, unpack, and sort incoming parts, supplies, and materials, and identify, label, and catalogue items received.
- Logistics: Ship, deliver, or pick up parts, products, or equipment, manage schedules, plan work, and prepare work orders for mechanics, schedule third-party maintenance providers, and manage travel.
- Communication: Communicate with outside vendors for follow-up on repairs and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Background: Knowledge of automotive, industrial, and heavy-duty aftermarket parts.
- Experience: 5 years of applicable experience.
- Skills: Ability to use various computer programs, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: Valid Class G Driver's License and Forklift certification (an asset).
- Languages: Bilingual.
- Compensation: Hourly wage starting at $24.63.
- Benefits: Employee Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with 5% employer contribution, group insurance plan, 3-week vacation allowance, company profit-sharing, telemedicine program, employee assistance program, retirement allowance program, flight privileges, and discounted travel with several airlines.
