Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at North Shore Orthodontics. This is a permanent position that offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on patient care and support.

Work Environment

The role is set within a specialized dental practice, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with orthodontic professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for orthodontic assessments and procedures.
  • Oversee the activities of dental assistants in their healthcare duties.
  • Provide training to new dental laboratory assistants.
  • Manage the ordering of dental and office supplies.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to the dental laboratory.
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments and materials.
  • Ensure the sterilization and upkeep of instruments and equipment.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
  • Document dental procedures performed on patients.
  • Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic purposes.
Technical Skills

Proficiency in using MS Outlook and MS Windows is essential, along with experience in medical and biomedical equipment.

Work Conditions

This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage tight deadlines, and perform repetitive tasks. Candidates should possess:

  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • The ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Physical stamina for sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
