Job Title: Visual Inspection Technician

Technical Bureaus (TBS) Inspection Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Visual Inspection Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Visual Inspection Technician to conduct visual inspections of various materials and equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of nondestructive testing (NDT) techniques and be able to identify defects and anomalies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct visual inspections of materials and equipment to detect defects and anomalies
  • Use NDT techniques such as liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, and visual inspection to inspect materials and equipment
  • Establish and maintain calibration standards for NDT equipment
  • Calibrate, test, and interpret ultrasonic equipment
  • Set up, calibrate, operate, and interpret magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic equipment
  • Instruct and supervise trainees
  • Maintain test result reports
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Steel-toed safety boots
