Position Overview:
As a Lead Mechanical Engineer within the Mining Sector, you will play a pivotal role in our engineering community. We pride ourselves on fostering creativity and innovation, ensuring that our engineering designs are as unique as the projects we undertake.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary project team throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Develop and implement mechanical engineering solutions while overseeing a team of Designers and junior Engineers.
- Provide support for both open pit and underground mining projects, as well as assisting other departments such as oil and gas.
- Mentor and guide less experienced engineers to enhance their technical skills and promote effective risk management strategies.
- Facilitate project coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, owners, contractors, and vendors.
- Identify opportunities for innovative solutions and contribute valuable insights for successful project execution.
- Serve as a technical advisor on complex issues, guiding staff towards effective solutions.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of project specifications and related documentation.
- Review the work of other Mechanical Engineers and ensure proper integration with other engineering disciplines.

Qualifications:
- Registration as an Engineer with a Canadian province's Engineering Association.
- In-depth understanding of the mining project lifecycle from initial studies to execution.
- Proficiency in working within a digital environment, including:
- 3D model and 2D drawing reviews using tools like Adobe Acrobat and Bluebeam.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and leadership through Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across various teams.
- Proven mentoring skills for junior engineers and designers.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with at least 8 years in the mining industry.

Work Environment:
- Typical office setting with extended periods of computer use.
- Fieldwork may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.

Schedule:
- Full-time position.
