Job Purpose:

The Manager, Global Accounting Policies & Procedures is responsible for researching and developing accounting policies and procedures and their implementation for Scotiabank.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and Scotiabank's financial reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on accounting policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry developments to ensure Scotiabank's accounting policies and procedures remain current and compliant.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
