About the Role

Moonfleet Poultry Services is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Poultry Processing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe processing of poultry products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Slaughter and Processing: Slaughter livestock and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses.
  • Work Environment: Work in a noisy, odorous, dusty, hot, and cold/refrigerated environment.
  • Work Setting: Work in a slaughterhouse, meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment, poultry processing plant, or be willing to relocate.
  • Physical Demands: Perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Weight Handling: Lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and wear steel-toed safety boots and a mask.
  • Teamwork: Work accurately and as a team player.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Availability: Be available for shift or on-call work and willing to relocate.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Experience: Willing to train and have previous experience in the field of employment.
