Job Summary:

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited is seeking a skilled Pipe Layer to join our team. As a Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for installing underground pipes and infrastructure for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dig trenches to required depth using hand tools or trenching equipment
  • Cut and move pipes into trenches, align, and join them
  • Cover pipes with earth or other materials
  • Signal equipment operators to ensure safe and proper excavation
  • Establish alignment and grade using a laser
  • Operate mechanized equipment such as pickup trucks, rollers, tandem dump trucks, front-end loaders, and backhoes
  • Perform other general labor and construction-related duties as required

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in underground pipe laying or assisting pipe layers
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 25 to 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Valid driver's license and own mode of transportation required
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Willingness to work overtime as required
