Pipelayer Technician

Tomlinson Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Pipelayer Technician to join their team in Eastern Canada. This full-time position offers a competitive work environment with regular working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00AM to 5:30PM. The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check grades and read plans to ensure accurate installation
• Utilize a variety of hand tools and demonstrate expertise in cutting pipe of various materials
• Read grade stakes and set up laser equipment for precise measurements
• Apply strong knowledge of pipelaying techniques related to sewer and watermain construction
• Work with pipe and fittings used in sewer and watermain work
• Collaborate with team members and take direction from the foreman on site
• Locate and expose underground utilities by hand
• Work efficiently and correctly with minimal supervision
• Ensure a safe working environment for self and colleagues

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience working as a pipelayer
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
• Health and Safety training/Knowledge (Confined Space, trenching and excavation, First Aid/CPR an asset)
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Potential for weekend work and working nights as needed
• Hoisting & Rigging Training
