Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Assistant to join our team at Empire Auto Group. As an Automotive Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our mechanics and technicians in maintaining our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist mechanics and technicians with daily tasks, including moving tools and equipment, holding stakes during surveying activities, and signaling safety procedures to other workers and the general public.
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a safe and organized environment.
  • Support newcomers and refugees by providing diversity and cross-cultural training, creating a welcoming work environment.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, promoting cultural competency and awareness.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required; we offer on-the-job training.
  • 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
  • English language proficiency.
