Our organization has a rich history of collaboration with families and communities, delivering outpatient and community-based services aimed at fostering independence and overall well-being.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Conduct assessments and provide therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents referred for occupational therapy.
- Offer consultation, training, and educational support to clients, their families, and other professionals.
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive records and comply with all relevant reporting requirements.
- Supervise and mentor occupational therapy interns and rehabilitation assistant students.
- Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all client information.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Experience in pediatric rehabilitation, including in-centre and school-based services, is advantageous.
- A solid understanding of Family-Centered Care principles.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Willingness to pursue additional certifications relevant to the role.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel as needed.
- A clear vulnerable sector check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
