Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to join our team at Connecting Dots - Innisfail. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and direction of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to our team, ensuring the successful implementation of our organizational policies and programs.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to achieve our goals and objectives, including human, financial, and material resources.
  • Department Establishment: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
  • Co-ordination and Representation: Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments, and represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions.
  • Staff Selection and Development: Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff, delegate necessary authority, and create optimum working conditions.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
  • Supervision: 5-10 people.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, and team player.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provides cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
