  • Operate the cash register and manage financial transactions.
  • Process payments through various methods including cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards.
  • Receive payments for goods and services accurately.
  • Calculate and reconcile daily or shift payments with total sales.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Assist customers with self-checkout processes.
  • Handle foreign currency exchanges as needed.
  • Monitor store entrances and exits, ensuring proof of payment is requested when necessary.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in using electronic cash registers.
  • Experience with Interac machines and price scanners.
Work Conditions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 35 to 40 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
