Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Residential Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our residential properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sanitation and Cleaning: Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all communal areas, including elevators, stairwells, and garbage rooms.
  • Trash and Recycling: Ensure trash and recycling are stored in proper receptacles and remove litter from the building and surrounding property.
  • Snow Removal: May be responsible for snow removal, including shoveling or salting footpaths.
  • Move Coordination: Supervise moves and ensure elevators are placed on service and protectors are on all elevators.
  • General Maintenance: Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties, including dusting, vacuuming, and washing floors, walls, and light fixtures.
  • Light Maintenance: May be required to perform light maintenance tasks, such as completing small service orders.
  • Issue Reporting: Ensure issues are accurately reported to the Superintendent.
  • Turnover Suites: Assist with the cleaning of turnover suites as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience: One to two years of experience in a cleaning or maintenance role.
  • Prioritization and Time Management: Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Flexibility: Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate professionally and clearly with tenants, suppliers, contractors, and employees.

Physical and Sensory Effort:

  • Physical Condition: Must be in good physical condition to perform various duties.
  • Walking and Travelling: Walking and travelling upstairs will be required, as well as lifting and general mobility.
