Job Title: Web Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Developer to join our team at Mohawk College. As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our publicly accessible websites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop custom web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Maintain and update existing web applications to ensure they are secure, efficient, and meet college standards.
  • Collaborate with college designers and other departments to integrate content and data from various college systems with our web environment.
  • Evaluate and test web applications to ensure they meet college standards for accessibility, usability, mobile responsiveness, functionality, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Respond to requests from tickets in a timely and accurate manner, working with the department's online ticketing system.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years combined experience in designing and developing websites and web applications.
  • Minimum two years of Drupal hands-on development experience.
  • Proficient in the maintenance and administration of Drupal modules and sites, as well as other CMS environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with other colleges and academic areas.
  • A high level of attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to meet urgent deadlines with shifting priorities.
