Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Hydrogeology and/or Geoscience Field Technician to join our team. As a key member of our field operations team, you will be responsible for conducting various fieldwork duties, including drill rig supervision, soil and rock core logging, monitoring well installation, and collection of water level data.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise drill rig operations and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Log and record soil and rock core samples, and conduct monitoring well installations.
- Collect and analyze water level data, and perform aquifer testing methods, including pumping tests.
- Prepare and coordinate subcontractors and equipment for field programs.
- Analyze field data, produce tables, figures, and write reports.
- Demonstrate a "Safety-First" focus and act as a role model to other staff.
- College Diploma in Environmental Technician/Technologist or related discipline.
- One to two years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic, versatile, and willing to take on responsibility.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willing to work outdoors and travel to project sites using own vehicle.
- Strong awareness of health and safety issues and a safety-conscious attitude.
