Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Geoscience and Hydrogeology Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting various fieldwork duties, including drill rig supervision, soil and rock core logging, monitoring well installation, and collection of water level data.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct fieldwork duties, including drill rig supervision, soil and rock core logging, monitoring well installation, and collection of water level data.
- Prepare and coordinate subcontractors and equipment for field programs.
- File and manage all project-related field notes and data.
- Analyze field data, produce tables, figures, and write portions of reports.
- Perform and record work tasks as requested efficiently and accurately while adhering to current industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate a "Safety-First" focus and act as a role model to other staff.
- Minimum qualification of College Diploma for Environmental Technician/Technologist or related discipline.
- One to two years of relevant work experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and critical thinking skills with particular attention to detail and accuracy of field notes.
- Enthusiastic, versatile, and willing to take on responsibility.
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- A valid driver's license.
- Willing to work outdoors and travel to project sites using own vehicle.
- Strong awareness of health and safety issues and a safety-conscious attitude.
