Job Title: Grocery Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team at Otter Co-op's Mt. Lehman Food Store. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe store environment, and supporting the sales and inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Restock shelves, face products, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Process customer transactions, handle cash and credit transactions, and operate a cash register.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an attractive and engaging shopping environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
