For OSSTF Support Staff

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at the Superior-Greenstone District School Board. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers and other educational staff in the implementation of educational programs and activities
  • Support students with special needs in a classroom or individual setting
  • Provide assistance with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene
  • Help students with academic tasks, such as homework and projects
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work
  • Early Childhood Education Diploma, or
  • Child and Youth Worker Diploma, or
  • Social Services Worker Diploma; or
  • Teacher Aide Diploma; or
  • Personal Support Worker Diploma; or
  • Educational Support Program

Application Requirements:

  • A complete summary of education and work experience
  • Three professional references, one of which must be a current or most recent immediate supervisor, along with telephone numbers and email addresses
