Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Technician to join our team at Black Gold Physical Therapy Fort Mcmurray. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from various injuries or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Supervise technical and support staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies to support patient care.
  • Assist chiropractor with patient health education, providing valuable insights and guidance.
  • Plan physiotherapy programs to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Select appropriate exercises, apparatus, and manipulations to aid in patient recovery.
  • Maintain clinical and progress reports to track patient progress.
  • Maintain supplies to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Assist chiropractor with physical examinations, providing valuable support and expertise.
  • Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients, promoting independence and confidence.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
