Job Title: Physical Therapy Technician

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Technician to join our team at Black Gold Physical Therapy Fort Mcmurray.

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapy Technician will work under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out treatment programs, positioning patients for treatments, supervising technical and support staff, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out treatment programs as directed by physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists
  • Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine
  • Supervise technical and support staff
  • Clean and maintain equipment
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
  • Assist chiropractor with patient health education
  • Plan physiotherapy programs
  • Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations
  • Maintain clinical and progress reports
  • Maintain supplies
  • Assist chiropractor with physical examinations
  • Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Permanent position
  • 35 hours per week
  • English language
