Job Summary

Morson Talent (Canada & USA) is seeking an experienced Electrical Utility SCADA Engineer to join our team. As a SCADA Systems Design and Configuration Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting SCADA systems in electrical utility substations with operating voltages from 12kV to 500kV.

Key Responsibilities
  • SCADA Systems Design and Configuration: Design, configure, test, and troubleshoot SCADA systems in electrical utility substations with operating voltages from 12kV to 500kV.
  • Project Documentation and Engineering Deliverables: Prepare project documentation, including evaluation reports, specifications, proposals, estimates, design basis, calculations, hazard logs, and test plans.
  • Technical Assistance and Field Support: Provide construction support in the field, undertake field reviews, and provide training for end-users and peers.
  • SCADA Design Packages and Configuration: Prepare detailed SCADA design packages, including device point assignments and configurations.
Requirements
  • Education: University graduate in applied science or engineering.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.
  • Registration: Must be a Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) with Engineers & Geoscientists BC or eligible for registration.
Technical Skills and Software Proficiency
  • Software Skills: Intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Language Skills: Intermediate English skills for a professional environment (written and spoken).
Additional Notes
  • Candidates must have their own or their firm's Permit to Practice with EGBC.
  • Work must comply with the Professional Practice Management Plan, Quality Management Pillar.
  • Candidates may need to subscribe to a digital seal technology service offered by Notarius.
