Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion to join our team at ComForCare. As a Companion, you will provide direct observation and companionship to clients in their homes, promoting their overall wellbeing and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and socialization to clients, engaging them in various activities and promoting their mental and emotional wellbeing.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Prepare meals and snacks for clients, as outlined in their care plan.
  • Document care given and observations accurately, as directed by the care plan.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Attend to clients' requests promptly and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Be eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Demonstrate ability to read, write, and follow a written care plan.
  • Be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate dependability, tact, patience, and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to show compassion and empathy toward the elderly, sick, and disabled.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Relevant experience in caregiving or a related field.
