As a Tax Strategy Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering customized tax strategies that minimize clients' tax liability while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead multiple client-facing engagements, providing expert guidance on GST/HST and sales tax planning and management services.
  2. Develop and deliver high-quality deliverables, including reports, technical work, and presentations, to clients and stakeholders.
  3. Manage a portfolio of clients, understanding their business needs, key risks, and opportunities for added value.
  4. Stay up-to-date on new developments in indirect tax, advising clients on the implications of tax and policy changes.
  5. Participate in the development and delivery of internal Indirect Tax training, sharing your expertise with colleagues.
  6. Accountable for engagement planning, scheduling, and project financials, ensuring timely billing, collection, and variance recognition.
  7. Maintain high-quality control, anticipating, identifying, and addressing issues, and referring to various Indirect Tax mandates.
  8. Network in the local business community, identifying business development opportunities, and contributing to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals.
  9. Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes, driving innovation and excellence.
  10. Mentor team members, providing feedback, and conducting reviews to support their professional and personal growth.
Requirements:
  1. CPA designation
  2. 4 to 5 years of relevant public accounting or tax consulting experience
  3. Strong understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles
  4. Proven people management, relationship building, and leadership skills
